Contribute to the Sherburne County DFL

Campaigns for political office don't come cheap! Just one mailing to an entire House district can cost between $4,000 and $5,000. For a Senate District, it's even more!
If you want to help to lessen the influence of Special Interest money in politics in Minnesota, consider making use of the Minnesota Political Contribution Refund Program to help candidates with the costs of running an effective campaign. If we all give more privately, then maybe less money will be needed from Special Interest groups.
Minnesota has made it easier than ever to become a contributor to political campaigns. With the MN Political Contribution Refund program, you can get a refund from the Minnesota Department of Revenue of up to $50 for an individual contribution or up to $100 for a married couple for contributing to a Minnesota political party and/or a candidate for state office.
This is how it works. If you were to contribute either $50 as an individual or $100 as a married couple to the state candidate and/or political party of your choice, you would then:
1. Fill out the form PCR that you can get from the candidate and/or party
you have contributed to.
2. Attach the receipt (Form EP-3) that you will get from the candidate and/or
party.
3. Mail it in to the address shown on the form.

In just a few weeks, you will get $50 or $100 back from the State of Minnesota. This way there is no long term out of pocket expense for you, yet it can help the candidates out a lot! You are essentially giving them a loan. It's easy to do and a good way to help with the costs of running an effective campaign. Of course, you are not limited to giving only $50 or $100. Candidates and/or political parties can accept contributions in whatever amount you can afford, as long as it is within state campaign finance laws.
