Sherburne County DFL Monthly Meetings

The Sherburne County DFL meets on the 4th Monday of every month except December.  Meetings are open and interested visitors are always welcome.  We meet at 7:00 pm at Gily’s Bar & Grill meeting room in Becker.  Gily’s is located next door to the Jubilee Super Valu store on the North side of Hwy 10.  Gily’s serves food and members often gather for a quick dinner before the meetings.  Come join us and find out what your Sherburne County DFL is doing in your community!

Who:  Kip Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan is a leading researcher and presenter on issues revolving around universal health care.  He is a former consumer representative on the Governor’s Health Plan Regulatory Reform Commission; a health systems analyst for the Minnesota Universal Health Care Coalition of 12 organizations which include the League of Women Voters, MN Nurses Association, MN Senior Federation, SEIU #113 and others.  He has written over 100 articles on health policy, that have appeared in national newspapers, magazines and journals.  He is the author of The Health Care Mess:  How We Got Into It and How We’ll get Out of It.  He has a BA from Pomona College and JD from Harvard Law School.

The presentation is sponsored by the Sherburne County DFL, is free and open to the public.  After his presentation, Mr. Sullivan will allow time for questions and answers.
